To ply between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai on November 22, 23
Southern Railway will operate special trains during Karthigai Deepam festival in Tiruvannamalai.
According to a press release, the special trains will be operated between Villupuram-Tiruvannamalai on November 22 and 23 (both directions on the two days). The Villupuram-Tiruvannamalai train will depart from Villupuram junction at 10 a.m. and arrive at Tiruvannamalai at 12 noon.
It will ply through Venkatesapuram, Mambalapattu, Ayandur, Tirukoilur, Adichachanur, Andampallam and Tandarai stations.
The Tiruvannamalai-Villupuram special train will start from Tiruvannamalai at 1 p.m. and reach Villupuram junction at 2.45 p.m. in the same route.
Another special train will be operated between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai on November 22 and 23/24 (both directions on the two days).
It will depart from Villupuram junction at 10 p.m. (Thursday, Friday) and arrive at Tiruvannamalai at 11.40 p.m.
It will start from Tiruvannamalai at 4.15 a.m. (Friday, Saturday) and reach Villupuram at 5.55 a.m.
MEMU special trains would be operated between Vellore and Tiruvannamalai on November 22 and 23. It would start from Vellore Cantonment at 9.30 p.m. and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11.20 p.m.
It would ply through Kaniyambadi, Kannamangalam, Arni Road, Polur, Agaram, Turinjapuram stations.
The trains would depart from Tiruvannamalai at 4.15 a.m. and reach Vellore cantonment at 5.55 a.m, a press release said.
